Today is May the 4th – if you’re a Star Wars nerd fan, then you’ll know today is also known as ‘Star Wars Day’. Because May the 4th = ‘May the Force’ (be with you). Silly puns, we know.
But, there will be a STAR WARS DAY: MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU FESTIVAL happening this weekend (4-6 May, 3-11pm) at Gardens By The Bay. This event also marks the 40th anniversary since the release of Star Wars: A New Hope!
You can catch themed highlights like an epic DJ battle Silent Disco Asia style, where you can play your part by siding with the Light or the Dark side at the flick of a switch. Or grab photo ops with Chewbacca (rawrrr) and Kylo Ren.
And yes, there will also be a free screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (6 May, 9pm) at The Meadow.
This December, you can look forward to the next installment of the Star Wars universe: Episode VII, which means Rey and Finn are back! After this one, Star Wars: Episode IX will be set for release on May 24, 2019, which marks the end of the third Star Wars trilogy.
