After years of waiting, fans of Jonas Brothers were rewarded with an unforgettable night of live music as the brothers performed in Fort Canning Park on Monday, 22th October 2012.
While we were eagerly anticipating as the crowd grew, American singer, Anna Maria Perez de Taglé opened the show and entertained us with a few songs, including a soothing rendition of The One That Got Away, and a few of her original compositions.
Fans cheered heartily as the brothers came out moments later, marking the first time they’ve ever performed in Singapore. The crowd sang along as the three brothers crooned When You Look Me In The Eyes, the song that shot them into fame.
The brothers played a good balance of their classics and their newer songs, engaging the crowd with hits like Love Bug, S.O.S., and Burnin’ Up, all while stunning graphics provided a backdrop for the stage.
After a series of upbeat, energetic tunes, Nick Jonas calmed the crowd by strumming the first few chords of Hello Beautiful, mashed with Fun’s We Are Young, thus creating a soporific performance that warmed the hearts of the teen girls that had been waiting for so long.
Besides that, the brothers also introduced to us songs from the album they’re currently working on. One that left a great impression on us is Let’s Go, an exciting jingle that led the crowd bouncing on their feet.
One could also see the electrifying chemistry the brothers had with their band. They moved and danced together, providing an entertaining show filled with laughter and apologies for not visiting Singapore earlier. Let’s hope that this is the first concert of many to come.
