Get styled by the pros in a swanked out lounge

There’s a NEW privilege to shopping – well, at least at Jurong Point – and that is “Bespoke Styling”. Together with CAMPUS photographer Chione Zhang, the both of us were chauffeured in a limo all the way to Jurong for Bespoke Styling’s Media Launch at Oasis Lounge. Upon arriving, I was bedazzled by the overall ambiance. The lounge was designed in such a way I felt like Mia from the “Princess Diaries” when she had her very first make-over! It was swathed with curtains at the entrance giving the impression of entering your very own oasis, as the name suggests.
Jurong Point, the largest suburban mall in Singapore, ups the experience of shopping and exclusivity by providing this first-of-its-kind service in Singapore. Bespoke Styling is a newfangled personal styling service where professional stylists select apparel and accessories from the mall’s wide range of 160 fashion retailers to meet the needs and desires of shoppers. This initiative kicks off on 1st December 2011 and engages five renowned Singaporean stylists – Ms Jen Su, Mr Lionnel Lim, Mr Marcus AC, Ms Verna Tan and Mr Vik Lim (pictured in the header) – to further aid shoppers in the discovery of a side of themselves they have never seen. Rest assured, you will walk away with new information about fashion and styling with the satisfaction of knowing your sartorial destiny is in expert hands.
Mr William Seet, Chief Executive of Starmall Property Management Pte Ltd which manages Jurong Point Shopping Centre gave an opening address during the media launch and shared his views on their aim to establish Jurong Point as a suburban fashion hub. He elaborates that “Modern shoppers are pressed for time, so this innovative service will bring our fashion retailers to the shoppers through our fashion virtuosos, thus ensuring that every item chosen meets shoppers’ expectations.”
