Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) Singapore is an Instagram-friendly experiential museum located in Dempsey, which is due to open in August. However, all weekend tickets for the opening month has been snapped up within 48 hours after the ticket sales first dropped on 12 April. In response, this sweet-themed museum has released additional tickets for September, with prices starting from S$38 – the weekend tickets are expected to be gobbled up quickly as well.
What to expect at the Ice Cream Museum?
The Singapore addition of the wildly popular, interactive museum experience is the first time the world-famous U.S. based attraction is expanding its footprint internationally. Expect locally-inspired installations in addition to other iconic experiences from the New York museum.
Housed within a lush 60,000 square foot property, MOIC will feature 14 never-before-seen installations dedicated to the celebration and experience of enjoying ice cream. Experience a fully functional, Singapore-inspired “Dragon Playground”, a pink and yellow jungle with 10,000 bananas, and the largest MOIC sprinkle pool ever created.
You can also enjoy five unique ice cream treats as you’re guided through the 60 to 90-minute experience by talented #TeamMOIC performers.
Unlike regular museums, advance reservations are necessary to gain entry. What began as a pop-up experience in 2016 in New York quickly grew in popularity, selling out quickly with a waitlist of 200,000 guests. The Smithsonian ranked Museum of Ice Cream in its top 10 most Instagrammed museums in the world, and it’s been enjoyed by celebrities like David Beckham, Katy Perry, and Beyoncé.
