Netflix Singapore

If you’re looking for some local movies to fill your nightly entertainment, Netflix has recently announced their roster of Singaporean movies, series, and documentaries – just in time for National Day.

You can rewatch favourite classics from Jack Neo, including Ah Boys to Men (and its sequel), Money No Enough, Just Follow Law, and I Not Stupid. These multi-lingual films often depict the issues and struggles of everyday Singaporeans.

There’s also an impressive list of Eric Khoo’s titles, with his artistic take on more personal stories in films like Mee Pok Man, Be With Me, 12 Storeys, and his risque title, In the Room.

You can also watch critically-acclaimed titles like Ilo Ilo, Yellow Bird, and A Land Imagined (see descriptions here).

There is also a decent collection of classics like Homerun and 881 as well as documentaries like The Songs We Sang, and even classic TV series like Best of Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd and Best of Under One Roof. There’s also a number of Malay and Tamil language movies, like Sayang Disayang and Gurushetram24 Hours of Anger.
