The horror fest that’s back with a vengeance
By Prabhu Silvam
*Scape’s annual Halloween scream fest The Museum of Horrors returns this year – bigger, bolder and in magnimous 3-D. Housed within *Scape’s warehouse auditorium, revelers will play witness to the transformation of the indoor park into a playground of nefarious proportions.
16 pre-conceived, horror folklore-inspired dioramas look set to entice visitors as they make their way through infamous Hollywood horror tributes like Nightmare on Elm Street, Hannibal and Friday the 13th. Combined with live action animatronics and interactive multimedia displays, visitors can expect a supernatural bombardment of the senses.
With an increased exposure and unprecedented growth permeating the local Halloween scene, *Scape’s Museum of Horrors II looks set to lead the pack as Singapore’s premier Halloween event by introducing a 1st in Asia 3-D Creepy Funhouse concept that promises to spook the living daylights out of revelers. Here, visitors will don 3-D glasses and scamper their way through a boisterous, neon faceted psychedelic fun house of unexpected ghoulish twists.
Local bands like Swift Blade and A Vacant Affair will also take center stage at the event by jamming at the newly refurbished Alfresco-styled space “The Deck” on Fridays and Saturdays leading up to Halloween.
The Museum of Horrors 2 marks the 2nd installment of *Scape’s annual youth centric Halloween festivities since its inception in 2010. Boasting the lowest Halloween-themed event prices in town and thrust at the heart of Orchard Road, The Museum of Horrors II looks set to rewrite standards in the local Halloween hemisphere.
