You’ve probably participated in a night run, or a fun run. Or maybe even a fun night run. If you haven’t, or are already addicted to them, then you should check out the legendary USA Blacklight Run that’ll be making its way to Singapore on October 29 this year!
Skechers Blacklight Run Singapore
This is a non competitive fun run, so there’s no need to go all Ben Hur for this. Besides, it’s only 5km long, which means (almost) everyone can do it. The best part is that it’s not really a run – it’s more like a 5km stretch of clubbing, complete with blacklighting.
However, unlike your regular clubbing gear, the only respectable outfit to wear is a plain white T-shirt – in fact, you’ll be given one upon registration (no, not the Kanye West one). This is so that you can completely go Jackson Pollock on it with the UV Neon Glow Powder that’ll be splashed around throughout the event (close your eyes though).
Along the course you will find Blacklight Zones, which are associated with designated colours: green, pink, and orange, where you are literally showered with fairy dust (sorry, non-toxic glow powder) that actually make you an instant glow-in-the-dark artwork. Did we mention that there will be DJ music throughout the course as well?
At the finish line, you’ll get a Skechers Blackrun Glow Packet containing yet more neon goodies – AND access to the main event: the Skechers Blacklight Run After Party. This is where the real exercise happens, with a “Celebration Glow Throw” every 15 minutes.
The party will be helmed by DJ Automatic (the original Blacklight Run DJ from the USA, who’s shared the stage with Kanye West) and sassy spinner DJ Jade Rasif from Zouk.
