Worldwide phenomenons: PSY, Carly Rae Jepsen and CeeLo Green rock the stage

Singapore NewsThe highly anticipated Social Concert which was held in conjunction with the inaugural Social Star Awards, took place at The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay on Friday,24th May.More than 8000 fans gathered to enjoy the first day of the 2-days concert which was streamed live on Youtube.
The show was kicked-started by the Asian girl band, Blush performing their song “Miss Out” while showing off their sexy dance moves and hyping up the audience by telling them to do fist pumps.
After a short break, the much awaited Canadian pop princess , Carly Rae Jepsen, appeared on stage performing her first song “This Kiss”. Singing many hit singles like “Good Time” and “Tonight I’m Getting Over You”, the bubbly singer mesmerised the audience with her sweet voice. She ended her performance with her mega hit “Call Me Maybe”, with everyone singing along to the familiar catchy tune.
Next performer was none other than the South Korean Youtube sensation PSY, who showed up dressed in his signature glittery suit. Receiving endless cheer from the crowd, he started off by singing his Korean hits “Champion” and “It’s an art”, making the audience go wild and crazy over the majorly energetic performance. The hilarious popstar also interacted with the crowd by saying, “Take lots and lots of photos or videos and use me in whatever way you want.”
After singing his latest hit “Gentlemen”, it was finally time for the internet icon to perform the phenomenal “Gangnam Style” that is the most popular song on Youtube which has more than 1.6 billion views. The explosive singer unified the audience with the sensational horse dance craze, proving that he is indeed an international superstar.
For the finale of the show, the multiple Grammy Awards winning American singer CeeLo Green took over the stage wearing his sparkly white gown. The veteran American soul pop singer cracked a joke with the audience, “ Did PSY wear you guys out tonight? I weigh 319 pounds and I’m willing to put in my energy into this performance so you guys better not be tired.” To wrap up the night, CeeLo performed his popular single “F**k You”, with the entire crowd belting out to the relatable lyrics.
