The 2016 US election with its larger-than-life personalities and larger-than-life scandals has worn out American voters by endless mudslinging, even as other nations have been on tenterhooks as to who would finally triumph. Who would’ve thought it’d be Trump.

With so much on the line, the election of Donald J. Trump as the 45th US President has caused an outpouring of sentiment on local news sites’ Facebook pages, with shock, skepticism, acceptance and even support being expressed. It’s now 2024 and he’s back.
