For those Nicholas Cage fans or fans of the movie – National Treasure, walking down Philadelphia will be quite recognizable because of monuments like the Liberty Bell, Hall of Independence, Washington Square, etc. Especially not to be missed are the LGBT stores, take a walk down the streets populated by these stores and get a view of men walking in astoundingly high heels to just chilling with a very relaxed crowd.
Choose to visit the various war memorials located in Philadelphia to get a sense of the myriad of immigrants who enter Philadelphia and the rich mix of cultures within this state. It’s also a good way to exercise on foot as the memorials are all linked in a smooth parkway design, so it feels like you’re walking through Botanic Gardens and not visiting just stone structures.
If you are a foodie, Philadelphia is a great place for authentic Philly food.
